Vanguard was formed 7 months ago to this day from four competitive teams: Rage eSports, Ragnarok, SOAW Team, and Team Impulse.
Our goal/mission with the merge was always to serve a bigger purpose:
Our purpose: To give kids, players, and our managers a chance to do what they love for a living. Gaming has been beginning to become a cultural phenomenon all around the world as more and more people are beginning to tune into competitive esports tournaments/leagues/live events. As more and more people are tuning into events, more and more people are also using gaming/esports as a way to escape whats going on in their lives. Players sometimes use games as a way to stay out of trouble, feel apart of something, or even just to make friends.
“eSports has always been something bigger than just gaming for me. I have been blessed to live a fortunate live having a loving family, nice house, having readily access to food and water, so esports/gaming has always been a hobby for me, however from talking with several players, supporters in the esports scene I have quickly learned that this is not the case for everyone. This is what has motivated me to continue running, investing in, and trying to build Vanguard so that it can become something bigger. I came across a quote that has stuck with me that has always held a spot inside me, “ Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. - Unknown”. My goal for Vanguard is to eventually provide a place where players can do what they love for a living: doing esports competitively in a family like environment.” - AD, Vanguard CEO/Co-owner
